Two doors for entering the ecosystem.

I want to be more competitive, or I have the technology others are looking for. Each door has its own form — and if you do not know where to start, the MSME diagnostic gives you an honest read on your starting point.

I want to be more competitive

You have an opportunity and want to seize innovation and technology to grow. Publish your challenge and find capabilities.

MSME diagnostic

You do not know where to start and want an honest read on your starting point.

Publish a challenge

I want to be more competitive

You don't need to know the solution. You need to describe the problem well, who suffers it and when you have to decide. Choose whichever path you prefer: all three ask for exactly the same.

Who responds to your challenge

  • Universidad de Guadalajara
  • ITESO
  • Tecnológico de Monterrey
  • Universidad Tecnológica de Jalisco
  • Tecnológico Nacional de México
  • Clusters
  • Companies
  • Startups
  1. Assign a direct owner
  2. Define the problem clearly
  3. Set impact metrics
  4. Share the history of attempts
  5. Declare your available resources
Assign a direct owner

A challenge without a person who answers for it rarely reaches a pilot. Tell us who that is and from which organization.

The person who will make the decisions and follow up. Not a general contact.

Define the problem clearly

You don't need the solution. You need someone outside your organization to understand what happens, to whom and how often.

One sentence that anyone outside your organization can understand.

What happens today, how often and why it is a problem. At least 60 characters.

Areas, teams, customers or processes that carry the problem today.

Cost, customers, compliance or competitiveness at stake. It helps prioritize your challenge.

Set impact metrics

What isn't measured can't be piloted. A number from today, an indicator and a target are enough.

If this were solved, which number would change and by how much?

The current number. Examples: 20,000 m³ per month · 40 hours a week · 15% waste.

The indicator that would tell whether the pilot worked.

Where you want to take that indicator. Example: cut waste from 15% to 8%.

When you need a decision or a result.

Share the history of attempts

Knowing what has already been tried saves weeks for whoever tries to help you, and prevents proposals you already ruled out.

Tools, vendors, internal projects or process changes you have already tested.

Cost, adoption, insufficient data, lack of time… Whatever it was, it helps.

Declare your available resources

Data, team, budget and time: what makes a pilot viable. You don't need to have it all; you need to say it.

People or areas that would dedicate time to the pilot.

Records, sensors, systems or historical data you have.

Operational, technical, budget or time constraints.

Confidentiality and consent

The final level is agreed with you during validation. Your initial information stays private while it is analyzed.

Form 2

I have the technology others are looking for

Technology, laboratory, equipment, research, methodology or applied experience. If it can solve someone else's problem, this is where it becomes visible.

Who is offering
What you are offering

Describe it from the customer's problem, not from the technology. Minimum 50 characters.

New customers or sectors, challenges to take part in, partners or distributors, capabilities you lack, integrating with another project…

Measurements, publications, tests or certifications.

Do not include customer names without their authorization.

Maturity and availability

Technology readiness level, from 1 to 9.

Human team, equipment, laboratory or facilities.

Contact and consent

Website of the organization, laboratory or research group.

Form 3 · Innovation Passport

Maturity diagnostic for MSMEs

Eleven dimensions, a scale from 1 to 5 and an honest read on your starting point. It takes about three minutes.

This is not a certification. The result is built from your own answers and is meant to guide you, not to certify anything to third parties. The Innovation Passport is an initiative in design.
Your company
Eleven dimensions
